• ALL deleted scenes from the Second Sight release have been restored

• Added deleted scenes from the 2hr30min Documentary from Second Sight have been restored

• Added alternate scenes from the Theatrical cut back into the Festival cut, including the 16MM camera footage!
  

• Mixed my own audio into the 16MM camera scenes from the Theatrical cut, whilst keeping the audio and shots from the Hi8 Camera, from the Festival cut and Deleted scenes in the cut (best of both worlds)

What are the differences between Theatrical and Festival/Sundance versions? - Mostly audio related stuff during the final scene during the house. Theatrical cut has a spooky ambience track playing in the background, and louder screams from Josh. Also when the camera is dropped at the end of the movie, it plays a rather large 'smack' and followed by a 'clank' noise as the 16MM camera hits the ground. 

The Festival/Sundance ending uses no added in sound FX, no creepy ambience, and no camera smack and clank noise. It just sort of cuts off after Heather screams. In my opinion, the festival ending is better, it's more realistic and believable whereas the theatrical ending feels more 'movie like' 

The 'alternate cut' of Heather's point of view is for the tent scene with the children, you'll instead see the POV from Heather, rather than the 16MM camera. It's a short scene but it feels great to finally see this angle. The difference is minor, it's just optional for you all.

I will be using as much of the deleted scenes as possible which came with the Second Sight release, as these scenes have also been enhanced to look exactly like the main film and often will line up perfectly frame to frame with the main cut. I was thinking of including two versions with minor differences if needed - like swapping to Heather's POV during the 'tent scene' as they run away.

I think you guys are going to be impressed with the results. Final runtime is 3 hours exactly, I've pulled all the deleted scenes from the documentary included in the release. I've also taken the theatrical cuts extra scenes and added them in too. Not even one deleted scene was left unused from across the entire Second Sight release - Some of the scenes in the documentary have an annoying background audio track which I've silenced for the most part, and several other scenes, like some 16mm shots from the theatrical cut have been 'touched up' so they can work alongside the handheld camera scenes. This way we don't end up with any lost shots.

Every deleted scene SHOULD be in their correct place, but if I'm wrong I would like someone to point this out so we can correct it!
(there is still other 16mm scenes which have been left on the cutting room floor, that have no audio which could potentially be used in the future)


As of now the first version of my edit is finally complete and I am in the process of rendering and uploading it, if all goes smoothly expect a download link here in the next 12 hours or so in the main post. Please be aware that this is unlikely to be the finalised version of the edit as potential issues and problems may arise which will lead to changes and small fixes. This means that the download link will change, and if you would like to keep your copy of the edit up to date, then please download the new version. Versions will be marked in order as version #1, #2, #3 and so on.

Also I'm sorry but ... Expect a *very* large download size as I've decided against reducing the quality in any way from how this release was intended to be seen.


Small info about this version below
- It does not feature the alternate angle of Heather running away from the tent (this can be used in another separate version for download)
- It does not use the theatrical ending sound fx of Heather getting knocked down and the camera falling down sound

I always wanted it to be like having the exact same quality rip directly from the Bluray, though tomorrow I will be adding optional downloads with much smaller download sizes.

So download #1 will be 1:1 with Bluray as it is now, download #2 will be half the size at 15GB, and then I'll have extra low quality (7GB and 3GB)

Uploading version #3 now with multiple different download sizes. They will follow as this

Big download (30GB+) Quality near 1:1 with the BluRay rip. This version is for those who want it to look as it does when watching it from the disc itself.

Medium download (15GB) Looks almost as good as the 30GB version, bitrate is halved but visually there is not much of a noticeable dip in quality.

Small download (7GB) Half the bitrate of the medium size download above.

Extra small (for handheld devices or some shit) (3GB) You asked for it.. half the bitrate of the small size download above. I do not recommend this one.

Download quota exceeded on GDrive and Mega won't let me download more than 1GB every 5 hours. Bummer.

Any feedback would be welcome. This is the third release so far, but I'm still looking for fresh sets of eyes to see if there is any issues I can fix. (Hopefully not though!)

Okay, I'm sorry guys - but there is going to be a version #4 at some point soon - the scene at 21 minutes with Heather reading notes for Mary is in the incorrect place and was meant to play before the Mary scenes. I'm going to sit on it for a day or two as I get more feedback for version #3

Please please report anything out of the ordinary to me so I can get it fixed for the #4th version.
