yeah, I've added back some minor film grain overlay which was lost in rendering. The original source footage I use has more noticeable film grain (it was even advertised as a moody feature of the film) so I've restored that with 4x film grain. That's what is probably making her face look more natural here.

Anyway, all those screens and videos are just samples of work yet to come. I still need to polish my edit to perfection yet before I release my last efforts to this edit as an upscaled unofficial 'bluray' release. All in good time!

Yep. My compressed cut made Kim's makeup whiter. Not much of a difference in those two above shots.

I edited in your 1080p, then once finished compressed to 720p.

In essence, I lost colors everywhere, but my lesser colors look more natural to me for some reason.

that close up shot in particular of her is pretty good as is. You'll notice far less compression in environments (like in the backgrounds and stuff) so I'd say that isn't a very good comparison shot unlike the ones I linked earlier on.

I have multiple different Ai which I've yet to tinker with when it comes to the upscaling, so take the videos and shots I've posted as just tests for now. I might be able to get better results with different Ai.

Of course Kim's face in well lit beauty wasn't good enough for you as a real comparison. I already saw that coming next.

The end result is that Blair Witch 2 has very strong yellow colour grading in several scenes.

That video is a little too washed out.. but it's getting closer to looking more natural rather than a color graded film.

Video never lies. Film does though.

Colour matched it but brightness levels are a little off. Interesting to see it like this in motion though.

based on the older colour grading found in images and trailers. It was very heavily blue at one stage, though I kind of like it.

A happy place is somewhere in-between the standard and the neutral, me suspects.

What does that even mean?

the neutral is actually generated from early pictures of BW2 from where they had no color grading present. I used a few high quality images to color match it and then tweaked them slightly in order to remove the brown filter. I've got a rough copy I will add as an optional download later today.

I thought you weren't finished with it yet, and so a De-Artisaned v3 was on the way.

I think if I had to choose one of your two versions, it would be Artisan Removal because it doesn't include the funny farm forced feeding.

First edition of the color grading edit is being uploaded now. A little bit less strength than the preview videos, better to start off small than large. Looks very good in my opinion as is but I can change it if results vary.
