I agree. It just blows that some people don't appreciate those things.

my big thing and if you saw it in the group you'll see:
The people who are stuck w/ what is canon and what isn't and want it spelled out. I get it, its important but sometimes a little wiggle room is ok, i think the mythology has been expanded, not changed. We know more now than we did and it adds to the story and doesn't ditract from it

I think I was just wondering if anyone supported the theory of that entity or what ever it may be actually doing these things.
And yes, it has been expanded and I see nothing wrong with that. The more depth, the greater the story. And it gives more to think about and discuss.

I accept the possibility that there is a dark presence in the woods that predates Elly Kedward and is still there.

Just saw the post on another thread saying how the original directors always viewed elly as a scapegoat for an older evil. Don't like it though. The whole european witchcraft mythology always felt so pure, and the sticks and stones artefacts so authentic for that context. Don't want things muddied by introducing other elements.

That's the great thing. There's no right answer. We just don't know.

I knew they were gonna pull that. Because they want to move on to a generic horror franchise with insert evil force here.
Hec a friggin' chex mix.

But Dan Aykroyd said that the new Ghostbusters film was going to be so good! And… Oh. I enjoyed it a great deal.

Saw it in 4DX. It really amps up the terror. The scares are bumped up by ten and the ending was really good for it. Lot of rain and light flashes.

Critics agree it should have been October. And about ten years ago.

Starting this weekend, I will be seeing it. And I plan on over and over again. Much like GB. Don't judge me, I do not care.

I think we're agreed that we didn't want any BoS references in this. But it would have been funny if when they showed up to meet the two locals one of them was JEFF PATTERSON. And they got the same actor to play him. Out of jail and leading tourists to the woods again Yeah. I know.

I'm curious what part she would have played in this if Heather (the actress) had wanted to take part. Would we have heard her voice in the attic before James turned around? That would have been great.

Jeff could have popped up to deliver his best line ever:
"She's a witch, mannnnn!!"
(I always cringe at that one.)

Is it possible that Lane put up all the stickmen, not just the first few? With time running differently for him (five days for him, one for the main group) he could have been zipping around the woods like The Flash. Unseen. How did that one stickman have Talia's hair on it? Lane must have made that one at least.
