Yep, I noticed that back then too when it came out, the fact that some of the tracks were from later than 1994. That seemed sloppy and bugged me, but I liked the CD enough to keep it, plus it had that extra movie file on it that you could play on your computer (really fancy and trendy for 1999). I also didn't like how even though they claimed that this was the tape that was in Josh's car during the trip, the song that's playing during the scene when they pick Mike up from his house isn't even on there. As I recall, there were some copyright issues with that song, something that wasn't cleared. they couldn't get the rights to "We gotta get out of this place" by the Animals

Ok folks, for those here and those who have attended previously:
What is something you think I could add/change/omit/focus on for the next BWE.
Brunswick is in the process of tearing down the houses around the diner where Susie & Ingrid were interviewed. I doubt they will make it to next year so that eliminates a stop.
I like to go to the place where Ed's sister was interviewed "my older sister went to Blair High School" but they close at noon on Saturdays. The owner is nice and after we stop at Stup's Market it's a rush to get there.
I stopped going to the motel after 2019, it was too much just to see a room.
So that leaves:
Burkittsville Stup's Market Coffin Rock/Fisherman's Rock/Shack Shanty Stickman woods
This year we stopped at Colony Supply and it was brief, eliminating that will save 10 minutes but it gives us more time to build stickmen, explore coffin rock and give time to Susie/Ingrid/Ed and any other guests.
So do we think going forward just those stops to give more time for folks to explore and learn?
Sunday for the Rustin Parr house we noticed a new trail leading around right to the house, looks like the park did some work there and its a much easier walk now.
Thoughts/suggestions and feedback encouraged.
Matt

doing final prep tonight, last minute emails. Going through what to show at camp on saturday night, shirt and hoodie orders are in, the fine details are left but they're also most important

putting together the itinerary for the BWE is the most nerve-racking part of the whole thing. The spot where Susie & Ingrid were interviewed is now fenced off due to construction from near by development. Ed can come but has to leave by 1pm. Black Rock mill is hosting a bike race till the afternoon so I have to switch that and the Stickman woods, so many moving pieces this year

a gentleman who used to write for the Washington Post is coming along with a photographer to the BWE next week. He's freelance now and is writing for Bethesda Magazine, apparently a highly read magazine in Maryland. What has this event become?!?!

...probably the most stressful day of the year for me when I have this event Then don't do it anymore. Or maybe only for 25th, 30th, 35th anniversaries. the stress is self induced and because I want everyone to have a good time

I love when the bus company cancels your ride 5 days before your event without explanation and you scramble for 2 days only to be told no-one can handle the trip. You send an email to the one contact at the company that helped before to talk to a supervisor or manager to explain what happened to vent your frustration and he calls you back today and lets you know that someone didn't do what they should have and he has a driver for you and they got you a bus like you original requested.
Talk about an anxiety inducing 3 days

That's a pretty good number. Will probably get a few more before the date. I'm thinking 10-15 more for a good crowd, may cap it at that point

The very year after it hits 50 participants, the ticket price will rise to $65 and the t-shirt price to $30. Pay you ingrates! hahahaha, if the price increase that's because the cost of the event goes up. I want it to be affordable for everyone, its about the day and I don't want people thinking about price. We don't need no VIP level for this lol.
