If you were in their situation what event would you have been like 'nope, I'm out'?
The locals talking to you? The two guys fishing?
Personally I think for me it has to be when they wake up and find the three rock piles round the tents.

Oh jeez. I have nervous anxiety about getting lost. So,that would probably do it,and that's even before any "witch" stuff went down. lol
