Not much is known about the characters yet. James is the lead, being Heather's brother, so one can assume he makes it to the end. Maybe. But I doubt everyone else does. Any guesses on who meets Elly first? The ladies seem to be getting the worst of it in the trailer. Thoughts?

Heather's brother (barely) making it to the end, leaving the door open for a sequel, would make sense.
I'm trying to decide if I should watch that trailer again or just ignore everything entirely until I've seen the film on opening night.
Can't wait.

Since it was never said whether or not Heather had any siblings
there's no reason not to create a younger sibling for her... I guess.
But it always seemed like she was an only child.
Maybe after she disappeared her mom got knocked up again?

I *think* the guiding couple is the girl with the colored-hair and her boyfriend with the colored pitch black hair
(he is barely glimpsed in the trailer)
because the black girl said "You did this!" to the colored-haired girl.
In other words, she is thinking that the guiding couple set up the stickmen ahead of time and then brought everyone to that location to freak them out.
This is what I think just from watching the trailer about 15 times.

He and Talia are the ones who found a DV tape in the woods and are the ones who uploaded it.

I accidentally read a spoiler and knew about that one. Talia got the most interesting death. Too bad they showed it in the trailer. I knew it was coming. That would have been a nice surprise. Peter and Ashley were both pretty useless. And climbing the tree to get the drone on a bad leg? How was she going to get down again? I would have liked her to retrieve the drone and then look down and see something waiting for her down below. Instead she gets swatted out of the tree by something (Sasquatch maybe?) and dragged away. |
