I still have yet to see this. But part of it was filmed near me. I do know that part of this story was based on a local legend.

When I was around 10 I saw a large yellowish light in the sky move instantly into a position from an extreme speed, then move again instantly into another position (as if to change course very quickly by stopping first) and then disappear by shooting away at an insane speed.
I just happened to be looking out a window to see it. The whole thing was over in like two seconds.

I remember one night, a few years back, my girlfriend at the time and I were going to Walmart. On the way there, I believe it was around 11:30. We stopped at a traffic light and I noticed a pretty bright ball of light in the sky. It was an orange/red color. I originally noticed it because it was extremely bright. Anyway, it started to bob up and down. After a few seconds, it split into two. The started bobbing next to each other. Then merged back into one and faded out. Nothing scary or anything. Just interesting. Side note, regarding this movie. Mainly the Brown Mtn. Lights. I have saw those once. Just once out of multiple times visiting the Brown Mtn. Overlook. The main story surrounding those lights involve Cherokee spirits. But with everything, the alien theories start flying. Ha, oh well, just figured I'd ramble for a minute.
