After being deeply disappointed with the fourth installment, I shan't be giving any future sequels a watch at the cinema anymore, and instead I'll actually take note of the reviews and then figure out whether or not it's worth a DVD purchase. They really are milking this beyond belief now. As expected. So we're basically seeing 2 Paranormal Activity films being released next year? Wow.

Even if I do hate PA4 when I see it, I probably will still see this one just for completion.

That's a good idea, but still, with each film comes with terrible scares and a tireder story-line.
Just how many times can Toby return?

They won't be making any more money at the box office from me on these things. Possibly a Redbox rental just to satisfy my curiosity.
Maybe not even that.

Totally agree with you.
The only money I shall be putting into this series from now on is for the DVD a few months after release.

They should have stopped with the first one. Used the original ending where Katie dies.

Yeah, I always thought that was the best ending, and would be a nice but predictable conclusion to the film.
They could have either used the 'Katie cuts her throat' or 'Katie gets shot by the police' to end it.

PA5 release has been pushed back to 2016. Can't say I'm bothered by that. They could cancel it and I'd be happy. Best case, they are using the extra time to write a kick-ass finale to the series and this will be the last one. Worst case, they've already shot it and it absolutely SUCKS. In which case they need two more years to rewrite the script and reshoot.

I hope they actually put effort into this one and produce a half decent found footage horror.

PA5 has a new release date. March 15 2015. And a new title. Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. I kid you not.
I predict a titanic suckfest. This is the one that kills the franchise for good. The end. Pull the plug. Bag it up, put it away.

Release date is October 2015 now. Not going to see it. Been fooled before by this franchise. The trailer is always better than the movie. And it will suck in 3D! Wow Please let this be the last one. They'll churn out this dreck endlessly... but no Blair Witch 3. The movie gods have abandoned us...

This is the last one. They had the movies planned out. As long as it's not as bad as PA 4, I will see it.

End of the road, eh? So they're done beating the dead horse? Each sequel made less money than the one before. Figures. The producer says all questions will be answered in this one. Oh really. First time director on this one. Not a good sign. Or the fact that the release date has been pushed back TWO YEARS. My expectations couldn't be lower.

I hope it won't be too disppointing. I will probably see it either way, though.
