From IMDB :- (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1991245/) 'Six tourists hire an extreme tour guide who takes them to the abandoned city Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor. During their exploration, they soon discover they are not alone.' So, is anyone interested in this? It's getting mixed reviews now that it's finally out, but it apparently is more of an atmospheric movie than a jump scare 'you see everything' movie. A lot like The Blair Witch Project. Also, Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity) directed the screenplay. So this could have the potential to be quite creepy. Any thoughts?

The reviews were pretty bad. I'm skipping it.

Yeah, but there is some positive reviews emerging from some people, so I'm definatley going to give it a try. I shall be seeing it this Wednesday and will give an honest verdict on here afterwards.

The last movie that I disregarded the reviews on and went anyway was Fear Dot Com. I'm still mad about that one

I've just came back from seeing Chernobyl Diaries, and I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised! While not really scary, it does build up quite an atmosphere, which has a rewarding pay off at the end. There was a few cringeworthy scenes, but nothing that really took away from the movie. Well done Oren Peli for creating such great screenplay. I'd definatley give this a watch if you can.

Netflix will have this soon. I'll give it a watch. But I'm not expecting much.
