I enjoyed this movie also. My name is even in the fan credits on the DVD. Of course thousands of other fan names are listed too but it's still cool.

Wish I knew what the movie was about. From what the trailer shows, there is a dog and a baby and someone who resembles Katie from the first film. It's a different house. And multiple cameras.
Same weird noises though. And who's Hunter?

Well, according to one of the posters on imdb Hunter is the name of Katie's baby. Doesn't really add up to me. Kate and Micahi died. If you've seen the alteritve ending that point is made even clearer. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

The theatrical ending has Katie missing. Guess that's the one they are going with.
I think it's smart marketing to keep the plot a secret as long as possible. To retain the mystery. To make people like me scour the internet for information, only to find little or nothing...
As for the trailer being "pulled", I suspect that was another marketing ploy. Again, a good one.
