Yeah I've seen the high def stuff too & there's clearly a difference but It's not a huge one like going from vhs to dvd was. I'm saving my money while someone devolopes a microchip that will play movies.
I have a Blu-Ray player (PS3) and a HDTV and watch alot of dvd's and Blu-Rays, and i can most definitly say that there is a difference, resolution, crispness, detail, colors, the sound etc. The Dark Knight Blu-Ray is really nice.
Am I the only moron in the world that didn't care for it?
I didn't like it either.
As far as Blu Ray is concerned, I have an LG Blu Ray player and a 52inch DLP HDTV. I highly recommend Blu Ray to you serious movie buffs (such as myself) out there. Not only do they look and sound better (in most cases), but they're less prone to damage than your standard DVD's.

I've seen and bought a lot of blu-rays from Wal-Mart for $10. New releases are still fairly high but I remember when they started releasing blu-rays, seeing them for $40 so they have gone down in price. Most of the new releases I see are around $20-$25.
