This place is seriously creepy and has been featured on a couple of those "ghost hunting" shows. My mom is good friends with the curator and gets to wander around more often than the average person so she's become quite acquainted with the dearly departed who still reside there. I haven't been there yet but one day I'll do a 'ghost tour' there, which means you pay $60 and you get free reign over the place for an entire night. You can bring recording equipment, friends, beer, whatever you want and run around until 6am. The Penitentiary is really strapped for cash and that's why they offer like that. Sooo... if you're ever in the area, definitely check it out and post pictures here when you do!
