When TBWP arrived my continent was the effect already over..That was really sad, i wish, i`ve seen TBWP in America... (make these sentences any sense for you Neal? ;D -i hope you can read my stuff )

i still run into people, even today on the set of a new movie i am shooting for Sony, that say they thought the film was real and very scary...
it was too bad the film was not released at the same time world-wide...then the effect would have been global...

You know what I found during the whole BWP hysteria? People were actually pissed off when they found out the story was fictional. It was like "Oh, sorry Heather, Mike and Josh aren't really dead." Some people. JJ

Ok, but how long thought the american audience this?
Only a few days or a longer time (a few weeks perhaps)?
And what was the effect in the american news of this?
And what was the dissolution? Was there a "coming out" from HAXAN or from the actors maybe? And how was the reaction from the news in America of THIS?

Was there a "coming out" from HAXAN or from the actors maybe? And how was the reaction from the news in America of THIS? This is the funny thing. If you were a fan of the Haxan guys before they sold the film to Artisan, you could find out the truth just by hanging around their web site. They never told people this was a true story. However, when Artisan bought the film at Sundance in 1999, they went out of their way to make the whole thing look real, right down to hiding Heather, Mike and Josh when the film opened at the Angelika in New York. The three were huddled ina restaurant across the street, watching the mass of fans outside the theater. They were not allowed to give interviews and were told to keep a very low profile. If anyone is to be blamed for leading the public astray it was Artisan. JJ

and when was the big "coming out"?? And who made this? And where? There really was no "big coming out." Essentially, people found out from other fans of the film and just spread the word. It wasn't like someone plotted out a specific date and said "Let's tell the world that TBWP is not real today." I know it seems less glamorous but it was never Haxan Films intention to make people think the story was real to begin with. JJ

and what was the reaction in America? I thought the whole thing was brilliant myself. However, like I said earlier, most people were extremely mad. They felt like they had been lied to. People were actually mad that the actors weren't dead. JJ

I know it seems less glamorous but it was never Haxan Films intention to make people think the story was real to begin with. I thought, one of the HAXAN-5 had called a radioshow and that was the 1. step.... Oh, I`m sad now..i thought always, that the idea came from our HAXANs and not from the big "A"

Ok, a further question (i know, i`m awful):
What was the reaction of the audience in the cinemas? (at the first time of bwp). Had any one a heart attack or something like that?
It have to be a horrible thing to watch a movie and to think, everything is real.
(i hope, you can read all of my stuff, my english syntax is a little bit confused ;D)

(i hope, you can read all of my stuff, my english syntax is a little bit confused ;D) Frankly, I believe the reaction was split right down the middle: you either loved it or you hated it. Most people who disliked it found it to be slow, uninteresting or just plain got motion sick from the camera work. I think you are already getting a good idea about those of us who loved the film. JJ
