Neal, how did you first become interested in cinematography? Was there a film that inspired you...a person...that made you want to get involved behind the scenes of the moviemaking process?
Thanks, Victoria ;D

I have said this before in other interviews but it is the truth...seeing Bladerunner in '82 on the big screen with my family inspired me to become a cinematographer...
people that inspire me are film directors that are as passionate about their craft as I am of mine...

That's one of my favorite films. I didn't discover it until it was out on dvd and haven't ever seen it on the big screen. I bet that was something cool to see

Can you believe that I have lived to this ripe old age and have yet to see Bladerunner? I am a nerd.

Bladerunner is one of my favorite films...all of my favorite films are what I call "flawed" meaning that even though they may not be perfect...they hold up to repeat viewing...
another one is Michael Mann's Manhunter...
