Scardy shook her head sadly, feeling more and more defeated. Her eyes had lost all sparkle. Fear had left her finally, but only because she had given up on hope. Like a soldier who had already seen too much action for two lifetimes, she no longer cared about life or death. She brushed a strand of hair out of her eyes, and realized it was a snowy white. "I'm Dayna with a Y now." she laughed, the terrifying and cryptic analogy in her head. "Seduced into the fold and arms of the devil. A doll with a seed in it's belly." She shook the images from her head. "Well," he said bitterly, "We wanted to see if the Blair Witch was real." and she started walking down towards Blair, someday to be known as Burkittsville.

A figure appears in the doorway of the occupied cabin. A man in bloody, tattered clothing. Deep scratches form strange red symbols across his face; his mouth moves as if to form words but no sounds are heard. His eyes are cold and unblinking as he looks in your direction, then he shambles slowly forward. There is a dark object in his right hand.
It's TWEEK.

Frozen with fear, the party stands silently as TWEEK staggers forward. The thing in his hand is his black beanie cap. The white stickman logo on it seems to glow in the pale moonlight. TWEEK holds it out in front of him as if to ward off an unseen menace.
At last he finds his voice. "Get inside. Quick. She is coming." With his left hand he points back toward the cabin's open door. "RUN! NOW!"

"TWEEK?!" Scardy runs toward him, wanting to give him a hug.

There is no time for conversation. Something terrible draws near. On the trail, back the way they had just come. Something evil.
There is a mad rush to the cabin. Once inside, TWEEK bars the door with a heavy wooden beam. The single room cabin is mostly empty. It seems TWEEK has been smashing up furniture and using it to feed the tiny flames in the fireplace. The only items he has not touched are the familiar items of sticks and twine hanging in the four corners of the room.
"They won't come in here. Not while the twanas are in place. That was Heather's mistake. She took one down..."

'If there's one thing you don't do in situations like this, it's split up!'
The solitary thought ran through his mind as he tore through the forest, his arms raised in front of his face to deflect the claw-like branches that seemed to be aiming for his eyes.
Unfortunately, he didn't see the small, fallen tree lying in his path. He did, however, acknowledge it's existence when it sent him skidding on his face across a dirt path. He scrambled to his feet, preparing to run again when the sound of rocks clacking together reached his ears. He paused.
The sound was quickly growing louder.
Once again, he broke into a full sprint, his black trenchcoat flapping wildly behind him. In the distance, he could see what looked like light from a window.
As he drew closer, he could see that it was indeed light from a window. In the dim moonlight, he could make out the shapes of buildings in what seemed to be a town. Skidding to a stop at the edge of "town," he could'nt help but wonder out loud:
"Damn it... When the hell did I end up back home in Dunwich!?"

Scardy heard something outside. "There's someone out there!"

*CLACK!!*
The sound sent the young man dashing forward on a collision course with the cabin's door... Or at least, what he thought was the door.
He soon found that his night vision was not as good as he'd previously thought when he ran not into the door, but the wall next to it. The crash was echoed by a string of almost unintelligable curses, along with one word spoken (read: screamed) rather clearly:
"MEDIC!!!"

"Don't open that door. It's a trick. We're all dead if you let it in here. This is the only safe place in the whole village."
He retreats to the far corner of the room and quickly sits beneath the largest hanging stickman. His face becomes a blank mask once again, his eyes empty and emotionless.

Wiping a trickle of blood from his lip, the young man manages to pull himself to his feet, brushing dirt off of his trenchcoat. The large red twana embroidered on the back of his coat almost seems to shimmer in the moonlight.
"Hey! Open the door!" He began pounding on the door. "C'mon, people! Open the door! There's something besides me out here, and I don't think it's the welcoming committee!!"
*CLACK! CLACK! CLACK!*
"Oh s**t."

Scardy turned to TWEEK, "We've got to help them! We can't let anyone die!" It struck her that that was a silly thing to sayt in the face of the history of these woods.

"C'mon, people, the door's not gonna open itself..."
Panic was starting to build in his voice. The sound of rocks clacking against each other now seemed to come from all around him, almost as if it was coming from the air.
He reached down and drew the hunting knife from the sheathe on his belt. Sweat was beginning to trickle down his face, even though there was a definite chill in the night air.
"... Please?"

After a long moment TWEEK finally throws open the door. The man on the other side leaps inside and then the door is quickly sealed again. TWEEK seems not to hear the noises outside, or at least he doesn't react to them. He steps past the newcomer without a word and returns to his seat in the corner.

Sheathing the knife, the young man lets out a sigh of relief as he leans back against the door, wiping sweat from his brow.
"Thanks."
He slumps to the floor, exhaustion finally taking its toll.

"So how did you all get here? I have a strange tale to tell on that subject. Wanna hear it? We seem to be stuck here..."
The stick figure above his head sways slightly as he speaks, as if moved by the wind or an unseen hand. TWEEK takes no notice.

The young man pulls himself up to a sitting position.
"I'm all ears, man."

"It happened like this. I remember leaving my tent at the campsite to take a pee. I walked in a straight line away from my tent for 50 paces, took care of business, then walked straight back. Only the camp wasn't there anymore. The clearing wasn't even there. Or the trail. Just lots of trees. I freaked out for about half an hour, not sure if I should keep walking or stay put. Then I heard a woman's voice calling to me. Calling me by name. I thought it was LunaSea or one of the others from our tour group, so I ran toward the sound. It seems like I ran for miles. I never got close enough to get a good look at her. Not even sure if there really was a voice, or a woman. But it led me here. I've been here for two days now. Hiding in this cabin. There are other people here too, I think. I hear the voices sometimes. Whispering in the dark. I hear crying children too. That's the worst. I have to cover my ears and block it out. But I can still hear them..."

Scardy shivered. she stared blankly at the two. Her eyes went blank as her mind shut off once more.

"There is some good news though" TWEEK says with a forced smile. He holds out the old compass he found back at the campsite, two days ago. The needle is pointing north.
"The compass is working now. If there wasn't a witch outside our door we could follow it out of here. If we knew which way to walk. But Elly won't let us leave. She'll follow us and claim us one by one..."
There is movement outside. A shadow passes across the boarded up window, then the sound of quick footsteps moving away.

"Jesus Christ" wanga muttered in frustration. "I cant believe this. It's like a scene from The Village" His wry sense of humour bought a few weak laughs from the group.
The window where the shaddowy figure had stood only revealed now the moonlight outside, slight as it was, and the stars glowed menacingly.
"Why did you wait here Tweek? why didnt you try and get back?

"The voice said I'd be safe here. I don't want to end up like the rest. Trapped in the woods forever. Compelled to obey the will of the trees. Answering to her. Better to die here in safety. Protected."
The roof of the cabin creaks and groans, as if a great weight were pressing down on it from above. Bits of dust float down from the ceiling and settle on the dirt floor. TWEEK falls silent again, staring at the stickman that sways and twitches above his head.
Childrens laughter can be heard outside. Very close. Six or seven voices. The clicking of many rocks being struck together. Then silence again.

" IEEEEEEE!!!!!" screamed Scardy, tears rolling down her eyes. "I never got my Yu-Gi-Oh books back from him!!!" the cabinshook again, witha cruel laughter, fueling the growing hysteria. Scardy suddenly flew at the door, banging it open. Outsidestoodawoman made of shadow, her only feature the gleaming yellow teeth. "Go away!" screamed Scardy. She charged at themalevolent spector, tackling it with a power and ferocity that would of won her a spot on any football team. Scardy went right through the black holethat was the evil of the place, dragging the witch to the next meeting. Whether it was because she'd done her damage, or some good part of Scardy had repelled her, the witch was gone. the voices died, and time and spacewas returned to the laws of conventional nature. The cabin and town were gone, leaving the survivors in an empty clearing.

*blinks eyes and looks around*
"Umm... what the heck just happened...?"
The group now sits in a large clearing as the sun comes up. Nothing but trees around them. The town has simply vanished into thin air. As if it never was there at all.
As the morning rays creep over the horizon, a bit of reflected light is seen to the west. Some glass or metal object in the distance has caught the sunlight.

The young man looks around, a look of shock glued onto his face.
"Who just pushed the reset button on reality?"
