All games have rules. These are ours:
1. Characters are normal human beings with average skills and abilities. No superpowers, no ninjas, no wizards. Just regular people.
2. You will have whatever tools and supplies one would normally have in a given scenario. No rocket launchers or light sabers please.
3. You can't kill other people's characters without that player's permission, posted in the Game Talk thread. You can kill your own at any time, of course. The more creative the better. Let's have some memorable death scenes!
4. Games will continue as long as they are active or until all characters are dead or have left the game. A game is considered inactive if nothing new has been added in the last 30 days. Inactive games will be locked.
5. Anyone can start a new game. They should have some connection to the BW mythology but can be set in any location or time period.
6. The person who starts the game should be active in it and help move the story along. Don't just start a game and then abandon it. Have a basic plot (and an ending) in mind when you begin a new game. Making it up as you go doesn't turn out well. Should other players carry the plot too far in a wrong direction, use the Game Talk thread to inform them. Nicely, of course. Don't be rude about it. Just nudge them in the right direction.
7. Profanity should be kept to a minimum, if used at all.
8. Supernatural elements add flavor to these stories and are encouraged so long as they have a connection to the Blair Witch mythos. We've even had a story with a character killed in-game that continued the game as a ghost. Ghost characters should be limited to observing and speaking only. No other actions.
Other rules will be added as needed. Most importantly, have fun!
