I re-watched The Blair Witch Project recently, and forgot how well done it was and well-crafted the back story is. I remember reading these as a kid, I found PDFs online for books 1-3, 6, and 8. I may have all of them in a box somewhere. I’ll have to dig them out for a re-read. Based on memory my ranking:
1. The Witch’s Daughter 2. The Prisoner 3. The Obsession 4. The Dark Room 5. The Death Card 6. The Drowning Ghost 7. The Night Shifters 8. Blood Nightmare
Side Note: Someone asked who the authors were in another thread. Check at the beginning of the books on the Acknowledgments page. For example Carol Ellis is listed for “The Witch’s Daughter” in the acknowledgments. She was a somewhat famous YA Horror Author in the 90s. It’s reasonable to conclude she’s the author of that one.

It's been a long time since I read them. But from what I recall your list is about right.

I'm curious, do the books add anything new to the Blair Witch timeline?

I'm curious, do the books add anything new to the Blair Witch timeline? Again, I haven't read them in a while. But in my opinion, no. They are "Blair Witch" only in a very general sense.

The Obsession if I remember correctly gave an interesting backstory on Elly Kedward if I remember right?
