I'm guessing it could be called off this year if the Covid thing isn't resolved by then. Safety first.

Wasteland Weekend in usually in September and they canceled about a month or so ago.
I honestly, I would not blame any decision on you if you opt to cancel for this year.
I do not, however, speak for this community, just for myself

so i'm debating on having the BWE this year. I know its late in the season but i'm thinking second weekend in October. Regardless of whether or not anyone here attends, what are your thoughts?
I'm thinking small, limiting it to 25 people, obvious social distancing. There may be a special event in Burkittsville that weekend i'm helping with so i'm thinking of eliminating the camping this year with that.
Thoughts, yay, nay, you're nuts, do it?

My own attendance is highly dependent on the whims of the Illustrious Archivemobile, aka Dan. As for the event itself, most of the locations are outdoors, and depending on what constraints the state of MD has on public gatherings (I'm assuming 25 was not just a number you chose at random), you could probably pull it off. That said, this would DEFINITELY be the year for a waiver, or at the VERY least contact information from those attending in case god forbid someone falls ill and feels compelled by their moral compass (coughcoughpleasedocoughcough) to initiate contact tracing. It's not Sturgis, so I'm far less worried, but the risk is always there.

I wouldn't risk it this year. But that's me.

I'm with Tweek. As much as it pains me to say. The unfortunate part is this was going to be my first year attending.

It's worth the trip if you can make it (and assuming Covid-19 allows it to happen again). Last year's was the one I attended. Largest crowd ever. I didn't camp but I did the rest. Good times.

And the mighty Tweek was wise, because lo, did it rain like the cow that pisseth upon the flat rock. (We didn't camp either, for the same reason, and also I am old and poorly and need my beauty sleep.)
