In this cut both Cravens and Kim still mention that Jeff was already in the looney bin, regardless of looney bin footage having been removed.

And seriously, place Tristen's crazy bedroom scene BEFORE the 'Erica is outside/ bridge collapse' scene.

Your #11 - what are you referring to? Because in my #11 I was referring to Tristen's five seconds of back to front swinging motion being removed.

It doesn't matter to me if you never fix it, because if you don't I will end up fixing it for myself later anyway

awesome. I was messing around with swapping the scenes you mentioned, however there is one issue. Later in the following scene (right before jeff's hallway shot) we see him spying on them in the camera / monitors. It makes it a lot harder to do.

Eliminate the spying by cutting directly to the exact moment JUST BEFORE "Jeff, listen, I'm really worried about Tristen" (just after Jeff spins around in his chair to face Kim)

This does require around 8 seconds of footage removal, which you are against, so never mind. Just leave it.

It's doable, but takes some of the mystery away from Jeff. Could always just change what is being displayed on the monitor.

Being willing to remove things is part of fan editing. You're willing to add things but not willing to remove anything which makes it very difficult. That's probably the hardest way to fan edit that there is. It's like tying your hands behind your back.

I say that because even I couldn't figure it out to that degree. We actually figured that one out together (in a way)

Yes. Barely but it wasn't enough. I didn't notice it until I'd watched it three or four times to figure out if I was crazy or not.

It's all about having extreme attention to detail.

haha yes. I want to make the Artisan edit the go-to fan edit for this movie, next to extended cut. Whatever it takes! i'm quite happy with it overall though, it's so different to the theatrical cut now it's crazy.

It's a director's cut instead of a personal cut. Obviously you haven't truly watched mine. Because mine is leaps and bounds different from the studio cut and the director's script cut.

I've been torn on that question. I was thinking about it today. Because to me they're very similar so it's hard to decide. As I've said before I don't have a problem with Jeff's asylum flashbacks except for the force feeding in the beginning. Even your extended cut removed all the tour group massacre until the coffee pot TV roll post credit scene.

I don't know man, because they're very similar to one another.
