Even in broad daylight with cars nearby, those look like photos of a nightmare. It's really too bad the Griggs House is gone. Some believe that whether or not a space was originally haunted, it can be "charged" with paranormal qualities through widespread fear and belief.
Scrawl the windows with Transitus Fluvii and Haxan may have brought the Witch - or something - to Patapsco Valley State Park! After all, if people believe something enough isn't it real?

The house didn't change much since the 70s. Looked a bit creepy even back then.

I've been looking online at house photos to see if I can find one that resembles the Parr house. Colonial revival style, three story. This one's pretty close: You'd have to imagine it without windows or doors. And at night. See it?

yes. but that one is more elaborate. And not spooky at all, in the middle of a nice neighborhood with a perfect paint job.

The Griggs House had windows too, just one less top and bottom than this new version has. Not as many windows on the side of the house either. Whoever built that house really wanted sunlight. The Griggs house had a front door as well. And also a side door that Mike and Heather entered through. Which is also included in the BW16 version, but you can barely see it behind that tree. James could have entered through there instead of the front door. Lisa should have entered through the side door ... but didn't. In fact, you can't even see the side door in the movie because it's too dark and the characters never shine a light back there.

Video from 1999. When the house was still standing.

That was fun. I even got a bit chilled when they went down to the basement. A little mad at myself for falling for the obvious gag, but that was fun, too.

I bet everyone here has seen it already but I will post it anyway. An old fan film made in the house.

Those are pretty good. The house looked dangerous to be in even back then.
