My family owns a lot of farm land and wilderness. There's a swamp in the forest that we own that I'm convinced is haunted or has something paranormal going on.

I live near an old Asylum (like a 5-10 minute walk, possibly less), that's now a hospital. In 1900, it was for the mentally insane. Patients were mistreated too. They were tormented by employees, tied down and beat, and forced to do things. There's a large network of underground tunnels that are suppose to be haunted by patients who tried to escape and got lost and eventually died, some killing themselves, instead of going back. Don't know how large the network's suppose to be, but I heard it goes all over the city. I know of 1 entrance by a river, but it's locked. It was supposedly used to throw bodies into the river. The tunnels were used to move bodies.
In the 1920s, there was an influenza epidemic, killing over 100 people. The hospital was also used as a tuberculosis sanitarium, which led to many deaths.
Some of the buildings near the area are abandoned (I'm told), but there's a lot of security. I've talked to a guy that told me he and a few friends snuck in one. He said nothing strange happened, but the inside was creepy.
The ghost stories are confined to the underground tunnels and an onsite cemetary. In the tunnels, people hear footsteps coming towards them, but there's no source for them. People hear angry whispers coming from all around. There are also cold spots that come and go without reason. People have also seen shadow figures moving in the darkness.
In the cemetary, there are strange sounds. People hear crying coming from the nearby woods, or whispers or laughter coming from the cemetary. People have said they felt uncomfortable in the cemetary. It's described as a "depressed, or unwelcome" feeling.
Don't know how much of this is true, but it's creepy living so close to a place with it's reputation.
There's also a bar&grill that's haunted. People see the ghost of a women that died there in the second floor window.

I work with what can only be described as a .... crazy chick... who claims to have a "friend" who's house is haunted. She knows I'm a fan of all things horror and has invited me on a few occasions to check out this house. So...yeah...I'm not sure if this woman is full on crazy, wants to make me stand in the corner, or just full on have her way with me. The allure of checking out a creepy house is there but I really don't want my life to end like Hostel...

A company just took a drone video of the exterior of a local, abandoned hospital. Apparently it had a reputation of strange goings-on back when it was up and running. Me and some friends broke in there many years ago to snoop inside. Coolest thing we found was an old piano in the hospital chapel.

Only abandoned building I snuck into was an old building with a greenhouse next to it. It was tiny and full of junk. I cut my hand on the way out. Glad it got torn down, f*ck that place.

I live in the Central Valley ca and theirs a lot of places I haven't got around to but one place I like going to is called snake road. Can search of snake road sanger ca and a video will pop up about it. A film crew that wanted to start up their own YouTube channel came to town and filmed it. After doing that one video which was really good they stopped for some reason and didn't explain why they stopped bummer.

Oh yeah I live next to a cemetery and during the day it's a hotspot for people just to go and walk and at night it's pretty scary but I never seen or heard anything I walked her many nights

The state I live in, Rhode Island is very historic but I'm not sure of any places that are haunted. I know lots of famous places like the University of Rhode Island used to be a hospital or asylum but later became a college. I have a book that talks about stuff like that, it's interesting but that's it.

A year ago I ventured into the forsaken land for the second time after researching the place more online and trust me .. interest was peeked. And there's quite a few YouTube videos where people somehow were able to go around and shoot video adventures without any security guard but that's just insane because both times I was there in my life I was instantly talked to by security upon arrival.
The first time was 12 years earlier and that was by accident. I stumbled upon the place.
Been closed off since early 2000's when it was closed down.
Basically it was "one of" the old State Hospitals.
There were originally many buildings (it was like a community) but most were torn down by then except for about five outlaying ones.
Only one of the main housing buildings remained and it was about ready for demolition.
I went into two of them.
One of them was an old apartment.
I walked around in another housing building a little bit and shot the footage for my little video, got talked to by a guard, then I said I was going to look around a little bit more because he didn't kick me out right away..
Then up on the hill looking down below I happened to see a cop driving nearby so I realized time to get the f*** out,
so I went out the way I came in which happened to be the opposite side.

Long time ago i investigated a cemetery that's actually not far from my home. First investigation we felt a weird presence from one grave that had stones surrounding it, afterwards we took a photo and a giant blue-ish orb appeared in view. I may post the photo soon.
Also in my city, our main music venue is reportedly haunted.

Has anyone heared of Wolf manor in Fresno ca I live 30 mins from it but the town tore it down cause their dicks. Also wolf manor has been on the travel channel and among other things.
