There's 2 external reviews posted on IMDb so far and they're both positive.

Elly, Eileen, Robin, Rustin, Kyle, the Burkittsville 7, Mary Brown, and the two fisherman all say "two thumbs WAY UP!"
Do yoooo believe in 👻 ?
Well actually, one of the two fisherman says "damn fool kids'll never learn!"

From the Dread Central review: (wow! can it really be this good!?)
Wingard and Barrett definitely bring their own flavor to the world created by Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Myrick, expanding upon the mythos and everything we thought that we knew while planting a veritable treasure trove of easter eggs within the film for the fans to discover. When things get cooking, the film takes a pretty relentless approach to the scares, and the last act is undeniably intense. The final 20 minutes are home to some of the most claustrophobic and nerve-wrenching moments the horror genre has seen in quite some time. It literally feels like being locked inside of a deranged funhouse with your worst nightmares. The scares come fast and furious, and they do not relent until the very last frame, leaving the audience thoroughly shaken.

Ok.
I guess all the early critic reviews are lies then.
This movie is going to tank.

I didn't say all the early critics are lies, I was commenting on the dread central review which calls the last 20min "...feels like being locked inside of a deranged funhouse with your worst nightmares." You ask if it really can be this good, and I don't think it can. I think that the reviewer is hyping it. But I hope I'm wrong.

From a different early review:
Director Adam Wingard updates this supernatural tale of terror without sacrificing what made the first film work. If you didn’t think the Maryland woods could still be scary, think again. BLAIR WITCH is the sequel fans have been waiting for and then some.

Just saw "Blair Witch Experience Intro" and I have to say that now it looks far better than the first bw-trailer, which made the movie feel really generic. This new trailer/promo/teaser/whatever I get the feeling that this movie might have a soul after all and not just be some cloverfield/paranomal activity POS.

It's encouraging. It's going to be shown again on Sept 9th at a film festival so there may be a few more reviews before the 16th.
There are 8 reviews now. Still at 100% on RT.

Every time someone posts on this thread, I get the fear that it's someone saying the scores went down.

Settled at 42% at RT. The critics are really piling on now. I hope that doesn't keep people away. I fear if this thing tanks opening weekend that we will never get another.

Got back just a bit ago. 8 people in the theater, including myself. Hopefully the amount of people picks up by nightfall.
