This is the first time I've heard of the MPAA giving a movie an R rating for being "scary" and no other reason. The trailer gives away too much. Try to avoid it and just watch. Most of you will like it I think. Except twana, of course.

It had the Insidious actor.
Wasn't it the same Director too?
didn't freak me out in the least..
Insidious did the first time I wached it .. at midnight.

I remember when I used to think that same thing about M. Night Shyamalan.
His movies after Signs were all .. meh.

I haven't liked any of M. Night's stuff. Didn't really think Sixth Sense was all that.

Absolutely loved The Conjuring, great movie and genuinely scary. Just hope the director can keep up the streak with Insidious 2

Just watched Insidious again. I think I like The Conjuring better. I had forgotten how weird the ending of Insidious was.

About 25 minutes of footage was cut from this movie for final release.
Maybe you'll get a Director's Cut Blu someday.
By the way, a sequel has been confirmed.
