I've been following this project for a good year or so, and it's great to see that it's finally being released later this year. Yesterday the director -Justin Cole- revealed that whilst the footage isn't real, the controversy/problems that surround the release are; As apparently the girl that plays Jackie is the daughter of a massively famous Hollywood star, and is now denying all involvement in the project, as it could harm her and her families reputation due to the content of the film. Anyone have any idea of who it could be? Google isn't helping at the moment ... |

I saw something about this a couple years ago. Other than the fact that it's found footage, I wasn't interested. The subject doesn't appeal to me. Mysterious celebrity overdose video? Nah. I'll pass.

I'll probably go see it now after reading his extremely long "open letter".
.. but even this "real life drama" could be made up to hype the film for all I know.

Due to the nature of the film, don't expect it to get any kind of cinema release ... He wants to use platforms like Kickstarter/Indiegogo to get his film out there!
He's offering digital download preorders of the film for $7 at the moment, which is next to nothing!

If we all did that, independent film/film-makers like this wouldn't exist, and they'd have to rely on bigger Hollywood based companies for the funding ... which isn't the best of ideas when their running out of ideas themselves! |
