Taken from the IMDB page :- (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2105044/) 'A POV, found footage horror film from the perspective of America's top genre filmmakers. A group of misfits are hired by an unknown third party to burglarize a desolate house in the countryside and acquire a rare tape. Upon searching the house, the guys are confronted with a dead body, a hub of old televisions and an endless supply of cryptic footage, each video stranger than the last.' Trailer :- Even though I'm rather looking forward to watching this, there seems to be quite a mix of reviews coming in. Some people are saying that it 'easily could be the best horror of 2012 and that 'it's the best horror anthology I've ever watched'. While about the same amount are saying that the film is 'laughable, terrible, and easily the worst horror of 2012'. So I guess we'll just have to see. The film is released via Video On Demand on the 31st August and has a limited cinema run later in the year.

Oh, I'm sorry about that! Also, I've just managed to find a copy of V/H/S and I shall be watching it tonight. I will post my honest verdict on the film on here tomorrow without giving too much away. It's still a while until the VOD/Cinema release.

VERDICT :-
After watching V/H/S last night, I must say that i'm VERY disappointed. There was not a single scare in the whole movie, the stories had a great concept, but failed to deliver. Not to mention they left far too many loose ends after them. It also seems as if they whole budget was spent on the special effects that were used in last 15 minutes. Also, 2 hours for a found footage type film is just far too long.
The only way I think someone would enjoy this is if you're interested in the camera style that is featured in the film. Even then you may still be let down. 2/10

If you're looking forward to the story telling elements or even the scares, you might be quite disappointed.
I can only really see hardcore found footage fans enjoying this one. It's a shame really.
Too many loose ends and poor acting for me.

Yet again, the trailers made the film look way better than it actually was. Even some pretty well known directors took part in V/H/S, so I'm just wondering what happened?

I'm on the fence about this one. I've watched it a second time and like it a bit more now. Saw some details I missed the first time. It's not *that* bad.
