fanedit.info/ has a new fan edit of Blair Witch 2 up, the link is currently broken but that seems to happen often when they first post. I am probably one of the only people who really enjoyed Blair Witch 2 and am excited to try and get a hold of this fan edit. On that note, I have been toying around with the idea of making a fan edit extended edition of the original using the dvd to preserve the quality of most of the film and the work print bootleg I came across as well as some of the lost footage scenes, like the one on the dvd and the one from the soundtrack and maybe even the hidden scenes cry baby bridge and the poetry one from woodsmovie.com. It would be really easy to just add the extra scenes to the work print but its quality is shaky at best and I really want an extended version with best quality sources short of blu ray as I'm cheap and don't own a blu ray player. I actually got bored one night and did a side by side playing the dvd and the work print side by side on my comp and found that there are quite a few extended scenes and a few additional scenes in the work print and I really think it would be awesome to see an extended version even if its not perfect. The only problem I have (considering I ever get it done) is I don't want to upload it anywhere but would love to share it with hardcore fans. Has anyone ever seen the work print version?

I got it at a star trek convention actually, one of those shady dvd booths with all kinds of random hard to find nerdery...but I have only ever seen it online at this site www.stumpydisks.com/tradeworkprint.htmlIf its the same source as mine the quality is ok but not something you are gonna wanna watch in place of the theatrical dvd or blu ray here are some screenshots from the 3gig mkv I made of the dvdr

not sure, just said it was a workprint version so it is possible its just the sundance cut... a lot of the additional stuff is the guys kind of ganging up on heather more making it seem like they were against her a lot more and isolating her from the group. Anyway there is a link to use a program called jdownloader to get the blair witch 2 fan edit...its restructured a bit and removes most of the gore. Sounds interesting enough here is the megaupload link for the .dlc file that jdownloader will use to find and download the .rars for the Blair Witch 2 fan edit www.megaupload.com/?d=Z0SBC1Q7and jdownloader if you dont have it, a note on this, to get it to load the file you will need to click file and restore JD after installing and running the first time, some weird bug, but after that doubleclick the .dlc and you should have it added to the link grabber tab in jdownloader and from there you can click start and it will download all the files, if they stop or say unavailable you should be able to right click the file and choose reset. jdownloader.org/edit: i just finished the download for the BW2 fan edit and am burning it now, after I watch it, probably tonight, I'll post some thoughts

Got a chance to watch the BW 2 fanedit, not bad, nothing new added but the tone of the film is pretty different since the entire coffin rock massacre was removed (the faneditor did include all deleted scenes on the dvd) and the entire interrogation sequence was moved to the end as one long scene which from what I understand was the directors original plan. All in all it was a nice change but I think I prefer the mayhem that is the theatrical cut with all its jumping around in time insanity

I would like to get my hands on the sundance cut, know of anywhere you can still find it to buy, or download? a quick search yielded no results anywhere.

This would help getting the fanedit approved and on the main site.

I'm not sure if you're still interested in doing this still, but I would love to see this go ahead, especially the Workprint upload of the original! I have also Emailed the owner of the DVD-R website asking him how much he's charging for the copy of the Workprint. It's something I've been looking at purchasing for a long, long time. I just hope he gets back to me.

I've done a lot of searching around for this, and to be able to download it from the Fanedit's site, you need a program called JDownloader. The only problem is that the links that are found inside the JDownload file are dead, and by the looks of it, have been for a very long time. So unless anyone has a mirror of this copy, we aren't able to download it.
It's a shame really, this did look really promising. But I'll keep on looking.

Still no use as this is the only site that hosts the Fanedit, I may try and contact the uploader to see if he's able to upload it again. I know a lot of people who would really like to see this.

I have the DLC file, I downloaded it a couple months ago hoping to watch it but the file never worked in JDownloader or somethin'. Is it the DLC file you guys are looking for? Because the creator put a trailer on youtube with a new mediafire link.

I've already downloaded the contents of that Mediafire link, and I can confirm that all the links inside it are dead. It looks like we'll have to contact the uploader and see if he's able to reupload it!

Yeah, all I remember was downloading JDownloader and trying to put in the DLC file and it wasn't picking it up or something. Its a shame, I really wanna see this. Was hoping the mediafire link was a newer one.

What did you use to decrypt it? You can extract the file using the software JDownloader, but all the links inside the file are dead. Doesn't look like e'll be getting our hands on this anytime soon.

How about messaging the creator on YouTube? The creator uploaded the trailer I posted and seems to upload a lot of fan edits. Just a thought. Seems to be a regular user.
