Blu Ray??

It is not just THAT fanedit. The whole thing about posting/uploading/downloading fanedits to/from the faneditcomunity is...a little complicated. That is the problem with that site(s), you have to read up on so many technical things that the average moviefan isn't ready for..it should just be one download link "click" download ONE FILE "click" watch. The forum is at fanedit.org New fanedits (info, coverart etc) are located at fanedit.org/ifdb the download file are at fanedit.info Different faneditors use different ways to upload, back in the days when this fanedit was made, rapidshare/megaupload was popular. The only thing that exist at fanedit.info is a .dlc file that can be opened in a program like jDownloader. Once loaded, jDownloader looks for the download links from megaupload/rapidshare/etc. After having downloaded the whole fanedit the program extract the compressed files into a dvd_video folder. This video folder you can burn into a dvd. Confused? Since the Blair Witch fans are here and not members of the faneditcomunity (over there..) the fanedit is kind of marketed for the wrong crowd.. I can try converting the main video (the fanedit of bw2, no deleted scenes etc. that also exist on the dvd) into one file and then upload it to a cloud somewhere so that people can easy download by clicking on one link, download one video file and then easy watch. I don't know that much about converting but it should be easy enough, will try to make it 1,5gb file or something like that so the quality stays as true to the dvd source as possible. These days I just can't stand these 700mb dvd rips. Looks horrible. Anyway, stay calm, I will look into it

Yeah a lot of fanedits are like that, you hype them up to be a new movie when in the end it is the same material only re-edited(no shit?!)..not saying there are some good ones, a different presentation of the material can totally change a film for the better.
I have downloaded movies thinking that they would revolutionise the experience. They didn't. What most of them do is just removing annoying bits and pieces. This fanedit also took away parts, like in the store, but all in all now when bw2 is told chronological - and with no Coffin Rock - it makes the film better. What did you think, was the theatrical cut better?
The fanedit of bw2 isn't the director's cut BUT if one wants to experience the movie the way the director intended I would say that the fanedit is the only available option for someone not having access to the Hollywood vaults. But it is not 100% the director's vision, I would guess that Berlinger's cut moves much slower, including Mary Brown for example. I would love to see THAT film.

Okay the fanedit of Book of Shadows is now converted into one mp4.file at the size of 1,59gb (I didn't want to make it any smaller since the video quality then might have suffered) Bellow you will find the download link. I hope it will work for everyone interested. mega.nz/#!zVEBRALZ!2MRrcm38-r0L19-4T_sPkuqoTfWNc5rgf2z7H5K1kc8

Makes me question reality. So sad too. Everything they remembered was false. They did it all. Or maybe the witch altered the videotapes.. I think there is no right answer, you have to make up your own mind if the video footage was real or not, which is the whole point of the movie. The director comments on the danger of blurring the line between fiction and reality. So I guess his sequel is a f#€k You to the marketing of bwp. I myself find an ignorant public the most dangerous. The whole thing about portraying Blair Witch as real is just for entertainment. Calm down Berlinger. Good sequel though. It is good that the sequel plays it as the mythology is real. I wonder what the new film has to offer regarding this.

I haven't watched it. No interest. It's still BoS. But it's fine if you like it.

say what? you serious? why? It was edited to the director's original vision. 1. Got rid of all the intrusive gore that popped up everywhere. 2. Placed all interrogations together at the end where they should be. 3. Told the story in a clean, chronological order. 4. Placed Jeff's hospital memories in the most perfect place possible instead of them popping in out of nowhere. 5. Got rid of some of stupid Craven. 6. Got rid of the stupid rednecks in the store. 7. Had them pick up Kim first and then combined all van scenes as one. That dude did a damn good job. So by earth and fire and water and smoke YOU WILL APPRECIATE IT! No.

I think so too. I like the look of the film, the actors, the story, the locations. Yeah it might look like a generic horror movie, which in part it is, but it isn't...you follow 😉

I really need to see BoS again.
I remember thinking it was decent the first time around - just not (duh) what I was expecting.
Here's hoping we finally get a Blu-ray of it.

From what I understand, an HD version of this does exist. The streaming version is better than dvd quality. See these two captures. The first one is dvd quality. The second is clearly better. So for Lionsgate to release this on blu shouldn't be difficult at all. An HD scan already exists.

...An HD scan already exists. My guess is that it is only "upconverted" like when you watch a dvd on your HDTV, it looks better but it isn't HD.

I want to see BoS again. Except, I couldn't care less about it being on Blu-Ray. I want to see the director's cut. The way it was meant to be seen. Yes, I am a fan of Book of Shadows though
