"Right."replies Blake, seriously. "Stephine, get the camera rolling. If anything happens to us, people need to know." he explains. "Hey, where'd your whole f***ing group go?!" says Blake, sighing. "Elly has them now..." he whispers, while making the sign of the cross on his chest and praying in Latin.

Stephine turned her camcorder "El-Elly? You mean Elly Kedward? I thought that her story was just... a story that was made up for the movie..." She shook with terror. "I... I didn't mean any disrespect by that story comment... Ms. Kedward..." Her voice quavered, tears appearing in her eyes. All of her friends were gone. Just like Heather, Josh, and Mike...

The wind suddenly picks up.
The campfire goes out.
There is a loud scream in the darkness.
And whispering. Faint voices of children.
Laughing.

The morning sun reveals an abandoned campsite. Only Blake, TWEEK, and Stephine remain. All the others are gone. As if they were never there. The tents are gone too. Only the remains of the campfire confirm that they were ever there at all.
"That was... AWESOME!" shouts TWEEK in an uncharacteristic display of emotion. "YYEEE-HAW!!!"

Stephine looked at Tweek, her eyes wide and her body shaking. "Awesome? Awesome?! Are... you... CRAZY?!?!" She walked up to him, standing barely inches from him. "All my friends are gone! EVERYONE IN THIS GROUP IS GONE!" Tears rolled down her cheeks, she was hysterical.

TWEEK responds with a sinister smile that is both joyful and coldly detached. He opens his backpack and begins digging for something.
"I would advise staying here until dawn. Walking in the woods right now will just get you lost or bring you back here after hours of hiking. Once the sun is up we can proceed. Next stop is Coffin Rock. If I'm right, there is something waiting for us there..."

Stephine knew she shouldn't leave. Even though she began to feel less safe with Tweek the moment he was happy about everyone disappearing, even more so when she saw that disturbing smile, she knew she was safer here than stumbling through the woods. The girl plopped down on the ground, defeated. "What is waiting there for us?"

Finding the object he sought, TWEEK stuffs it in his front pocket and seats himself with his back against a small tree. His mood is happy. Almost giddy. He feels like talking for a bit.
"There are rules, you see. Sort of like with shark watching. If you want to see the Great White, you first have to chum the waters. Those idiots that just got theirs? Chum. Loud, disrespectful, ignorant. Doomed the second they set foot here. Elly does not suffer fools lightly. Of course, when the shark DOES show up, you want to be at a safe distance. So you stay off the menu. Those who follow the rules are spared the worst of it. Like us. We still have our lives. Pretty cool, huh?"

She bit her lip, hard enough to draw blood. She was still in shock, shaking. This man was calling her friends idiots, chum... This trip was only supposed be a trip to see the woods that the movie was filmed. And now all of her friends were gone. Stephine couldn't help but respond to Tweek's good mood and question of "Pretty cool, huh?" with a glare.
"I'm sorry if I don't seem happy about it..."
Would he use her as bait if he didn't get what he wanted at Coffin Rock?

"Not that there isn't a price for us to pay as well. Once the Blair Witch has appeared to you, you are never quite the same again. Ask Kyle Brody about that one. Some go mad. Some, like myself, become obsessed and return to the woods again and again. I think she keeps a piece of your soul each encounter. Until finally she claims you..."
TWEEK turns his head to listen to a distant sound in the darkness, then continues.
"I'm going to get some sleep. Got a long hike in the morning. There's food in my pack if you want some..."

Stephine began to bite her lip again. This man was totally insane, he needed to be sent to a nut house before he hurt himself. When he went to sleep, she went through his pack. She was starving and hadn't eaten since the night after visiting the Parr house.

Stephine sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. She looked up at Tweek as he walked away. She grabbed her bag and her camcorder, then stumbled to her feet. She ran after Tweek, not wanting to be left behind. She wouldn't last long alone and would never find her way out.

TWEEK wonders aloud where Blake went. He hadn't noticed his absence until just now.
It is a beautiful fall day. The forest displays no hint of the terrors lurking there the night before. Though he uses no map or compass, TWEEK hikes at a brisk pace. He seems to know exactly where he is going.

Stephine fought to keep up with Tweek's pace. She kept her camcorder on, taping everything that was... not happening. It was just like an ordinary hike. No human sacrifice, no attack, nothing that Stephine was afraid that Tweek was going to use her for.

The march through the woods eventually leads to a faint trail. The path becomes much easier now and seems to lead the pair in a generally downhill direction. The sounds of running water can be heard. The creek must be close.
As they round a large oak, the flowing water comes into view. To the south, barely visible at this distance, is the outline of Coffin Rock. That seems to be where TWEEK is headed.

The familiar outlines of Coffin Rock come into view. It looks just like in the movie. The passage of time has not changed it a bit. But something else has.
There are black marks on the face of the rock. Strange lines drawn at odd angles that at first seem painted onto the stone. As the pair get closer it becomes apparent that the drawings are done in dried blood that has blackened. The air seems colder here, as if the landmark were somehow stealing the very warmth from its surroundings.
And there is an unnatural smell in the air; the unmistakable hint of death and decay. There have been dead bodies here very recently.

TWEEK stands before the rock. His eyes are fixed on the black symbols drawn upon it. For several long minutes he does not move or speak, seeming to be hypnotised by the strange runes. When he does speak again, his voice is changed. It is louder and more forceful. As if something powerful were speaking through him.
"bregh cavnnoch hin kra... bvrech sinnavna hieru... asshannach helital... shishino..."
TWEEK turns to face his companion. He has a knife in his hand. It is the rusty knife found at the Parr ruins earlier. There appears to be fresh blood on it.

Stephine focused her camcorder on Coffin Rock and the strange runes. The smell of death surrounding area made her sick to her stomach. She couldn't help but wonder if the last people to have been here had been her friends. A tear rolls down her cheek as she tries to keep herself from vomiting.
The young girl turned the camera on her companion and her eyes widened. "Tweek...? Tweek, don't do this! I know I haven't known you for a long time, but I just know that the real you wouldn't kill an innocent, defenseless girl! WAKE UP!"
((Sorry that I haven't replied in a while. I've been busy with school and practices for the school play.))

Stephine looked back. "Tweek... are you okay...?" She whispered, her voice wavering. She locked eyes with him and her body suddenly went catatonic. She felt cold, very cold, like it was the dead of winter. As she exhaled, her breath was visable. Anger bubbled up inside her, hatred for the people of Blair. How dare they bring her out here and let her freeze to death?! Curse them and all who come after them!

TWEEK can no longer maintain a straight face. He bursts into a fit of giggling, snorting, and laughing that lasts several minutes. He falls backwards into the creek and begins to laugh even harder. He has tears in his eyes when it finally stops.
"I'm just messin' with ya! You should have seen the look on your face. Priceless! Hee hee hee!"
TWEEK points back towards Coffin Rock.
"That IS rather creepy though. Can't read what it says but I'm pretty sure it means something. And no, I didn't write it. But I've seen it before. As I said, I've been out here many times. Seen many strange things. And that's one of them."

Stephine glared at the man, and there was something off about her. It was her eyes: they were no longer the cobalt blue they had been since birth, they were now bright green. The teen's hair and clothes fluttered, as if blown by a gust of wind, but the air was still.
"Insolent man..." Her voice was distorted. It sounded like hundreds of people talking at once. One could pick out a few voices in the many. There was Stephine's, many childlike voices, voices that sounded like the missing campers from the night before, and three voices familiar to anyone that was a fan of the Blair Witch Project; two male voices and a female's.
