I just found this "strange occurances" board where you could post a strange "spooky" story you heard. I've got one, but was afraid to post it. So here goes the post:
I was watching the 2008 horror film "Quaratine", it was really scary, reminded me of TBWP, So i watched that. (TBWP is still tops over "Quarantine" and "Cloverfield" BTW) I sorta wanted to know why amature-documentry-style horror scares me so bad. Is it because that it gives you the feeling that what you're watching might be the real thing? So i decided to "experiment" with my feelings just out of curiosity, see where it takes me. I Googled some words (or maybe it was a phrase, can't remember). I saw the results, and my eyes just locked on "American television news reporter who committed suicide during a live television broadcast." It was a story about Christine Chubbuck who actually did just that. It happened in Florida in July 1974. i read her story, it was so nausiatingly depressing.

Just imagine seeing that on the news. I think i mentioned on here somewhere (very vaugly) that IF they ever made biographacal movie about her (i don't think they ought to but just IF) based on Heather's performance in TBWP, in my mind no one could come close. I think Heather would be the only one who would plunge Chubbuck deep into the audiences' psyche.
It's a story that both disturbed and touched me. A woman who is in front of the camera, professional and ambitious but behind the scenes she's a ticking time bomb. No one can play a role like that except Heather. Heather would bring it home. (of course she'd have to redye her hair back to black.)
