I think it belonged to a family with children but it was abandoned. It was once a really cute house.

i though Parr's house was burned after his hanging? It was. This is where the supernatural enters the story. They were in a house that did not exist anymore. And they vanished without a trace.

Bigk...you're right - Rustin built that house himself. ...That's why it wasn't much of a surprise when Rustin decided to build a house up in the hillside, a four-hour walk from town. He was in his early twenties and it took him almost five years to finish the house. It was a beautiful, three-story home next to a creek. Rustin continued to work at his uncle's shop for a few more years, but little by little he began to come into town less and less. Then his aunt died and his uncle moved to Baltimore. There wasn't much of a reason to go back anymore.
He lived in that house ever since. He lived a peaceful life, smoking his pipe and taking long walks in the woods. Rustin was happy. He loved nature and the animals all around him. He only went into town about twice a year to pick up supplies...Until he started hearing HER voice... LINK

I thought it was for real. I guess I need to get used to it, that the Blair Witch is less or more just a fiction

Does anyone have a real photo of Rustin’s house? And is it the one in bwp or blair witch 2, that is the real “house”?

There is no real Rustin house. Rustin is a character that did never exist.
The house you see in BWP is a house, which collapsed a few years ago, I believe. And the film you see in BW2 is a "house" that the film-crew built. Those aren't even real stones.

The house is no longer standing. Torn down. Too dangerous.

"It was. This is where the supernatural enters the story. They were in a house that did not exist anymore. And they vanished without a trace."
This also explains how their tapes were found buried in undisturbed soil -- they were buried there over 50 years earlier because .... "Others claim there are parts of the Black Hills area that are lost in time .. and once entered, there is no way out .." - early mythology

Yep. That's one theory. That they somehow moved to a time period when the house was still standing. They couldn't find the car (or the road it was parked on) because it wasn't there in that time.
Creepy, eh?

and I still believe it. not only was their backpack found in undisturbed soil under the foundation, but that soil itself is UNDER a layer of ash that was left from the house being burned down in July 1941. there were already children's handprints on the walls too, which means that the murders had already began to happen. In other words, they were transported back to late 1940 or early 1941, because the last child taken was in May 1941.

The only way the backpack could have gotten there is if it was placed there before the house burned down.

i too have always felt it was a time shift back to when the house was standing courtesy of Elly. She worked them towards the house so that she could take care of them in there herself. Since Rustin was dead it was up to her to get rid of the filmmakers

and that would be the REAL film makers that really vanished without a trace not the actors in the film right? i did some research of my own about people who have gone missing and never found all over the UNITED STATES in wooded park areas and public parks and found out that in a majority of these cases when the search is conducted by the FBI,POLICE,and the county SHERIFFS that get involved in trying to find the kids and people that go missing, that once that search is called off and no one is never found after so many days, that person or persons is then automatically declared dead and then taken off the missing list.now im not saying that ED SANCHEZ or others involved in making this movie THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT are guilty of any wrong doing or anything criminal in nature.i think it would freak anyone out in coming across a case like this and i dont know if anyone here have ever heard of a very SCARY haunted cemetary in a wooded area known as BACHELORS GROVE CEMETARY where people have reported coming across a house that never exists and is never found for years like a strange time loop that goes on and on in MIDLOTHIAN ILLINOIS.this graveyard has a lot of tragic history and is regarded as the most FRIGHTENING place to ever visit in the UNITED STATES and some would say the world.

One thing has bugged me about that house. If that was Parr's house, why were there no doors windows or furniture? If someone was living there, wouldn't there be something still there? Did Rustin not sleep in a bed?
