the movie has bits of truth because they took some info from heather donahue's film that they found but i think the legend is true! all the facts point to truth dont they?

The film from Heather Donahue. Do you mean, you think the bwp was real? Both's fake. Legend and movie. Maybe somewhere in the world, there was a case where some men were found disembowled in some woods. Maybe there was a killer who says he did the killings for a person. But there sin't more truth in the legend...i mean. Even the wood Black Hill Forest does not exist

It does have the set up of some real haunted woods stories.

Can be. But I don't think they did that on purpose. There are so many storys in the world about haunted woods(of one I was the creator and the children from the village still telling each other the story*lol*). It is normal that there can be a similarity to some of them.

They are both fake just read interview with Ed Sanchez and Daniel Myrick. They both talk about fabricating the whole legend and the three students are still alive and doing other movies.

I'd like to say 'theres truth behind the legend' but i do doubt it myself. You know in Blair Witch 2 : Book of Shadows, when Tristen and Steven are arguing about Myths Legends and Reality, i think what Tristen says really makes sense, I cant remeber it off the top of my head right now but doesnt she says something about them existing in a place of truth. I totally agree with her. And unlike some BW fans i totally know the film is just a film. Though it would be so cool if it wasnt. Anyone Agree?

I totally agree with you. I'm glad the movie was fake for the actors sake but I wish the legend was real. I think alot of people want to believe it was real cause when they found out the whole movie was fake there was a part of them that wanted to still believe that some part of the movie had to be fact.

The Woods Are Real I've gone camping once before there. The woods are not that scary once you feel it first hand. but at night its just creepy..I did hear noises outside my tent but no rocks or stickmen/goo outside my tent the next morning. I spent about 2 days camping there with some of my friends for our high school graduation trip. there is a sign somewhere in the middle saying "Beware Blair Witch" but it looked like some stupid teenagers put it up or film fanatics. we did get a chance to see some of the houses. no bloody fingerprints or anything, just really old houses that need a makeover. well aside from the odd noises at night. its a nice place to relax and talk. odd how you don't see any animals during the night though.

Oh man Flash512 how scary would it have been if someone had gone out there and left little rock piles and stickmen outside your tent? Or if someone came out there and shook your tent when you were asleep? LOL I for one would be mortified instantly.
But back on topic, the movie is 100% real.

I would instantly start running for the road if that ever happened to me, but the shaking tent thing was the only thing that looked fake right off the back. would have been best to not use that but instead show a hand pushing through the nylon tent , like a child's hand that might would have been more effective. But there was no real evidence showing it was the blair witch doing it. More like Rustin Parr. A. It was his house they were killed in. B. The children's bloody hand prints on the walls C. The little gifts layed out not to mention the thing heather saw.
But I'm sure the blair witch played a part in the supernatural occurrences. like the children laughing at night, Blue Goo, the supernatural appearance of rustins burned down home. the fact they were lost in a small woods area.
So yeah. I guess Rustin and the witch are like a Team.

Another thing, am I the only one who was always thought the tent was being dragged? I was always under the impression that it was until I found this site.

Haha maybe I should go back and watch it again cause when the sun comes up and they go back to the tent and if its anchored down, oh boy, am I gonna feel like a dumbass. LOL

I always thought it was being shook. To me it never seemed like it was being dragged. But that would have been just as creepy.

It would have been more effectively scary if the tent vanished and they were forced to sleep outside where noises and figures could see them.

That would have been creepy but I don't know if it would have worked. I don't think it would have been as believable. Anything to supernatural would have made the audience think what they were watching was fake. IMO it's perfect just the way it is.

Well, I guess.. but the tent thing was unbelievable anyway you could see the hand shapes forming on the nylon. plus they were the size of Adults.
But, yeah good layout on the "spookiness"

I guess it could be unbelievable to some but to me it was just right. It wasn't something that was totally unbelievable. Some ideas I've heard from people would make anyone think that the movie was fake if they were watching it for the first time. Though the hand size being seen is true but I don't think first time viewers would notice.

I'm not 100% sure that it's fake. Being a Wiccan myself, I've encountered several "Evil" presences. Luckily, I was never under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time. Being f**cked up on drugs or alcohol leaves your body and mind vulnerable to the "Supernatural" weather it be Good or Evil, and if you beleive that the Legend is real... Case and point: All that partying that Jeff, Tristen, Erica, Kim, and Steven did that night left them open, and unprotected to anything that may or is UN-NATURAL about those woods. One last thing that I would like to point out... "Whiddershens" undoing the "Evil". Remember, Erica's first words; "Evil intent in the ground, may your release soon be found..." Bad idea. Where was her Amithist for protection, and why did she not sprickle red pepper around the camp sight to protect them all. I dunno, but it seems to me that weather you believe Elly Kedwood to be practicing Black Majick or White, you would take every precaution possible.
