It has been three days since two FBI agents vanished near Burkittsville, Maryland. The men were tracking a serial killer and disregarded orders not to pursue into the woods. Your team has been dispatched to pick up the trail and locate the missing agents. The killer is still at large and may be hiding in the Black Hills area. Take every precaution.
Three agents sit in a booth at Phil's Diner in Burkittsville. It is 3 AM local time, and this greasy spoon is the only one open at this hour. Except for the agents and the waitress, the place is empty and dead quiet.
Tweek is the rookie, fresh out of the academy and ready to make a name for himself in the field. His steaming mug of coffee hasn't been touched once in the hour they have been here. His eyes have been pouring over the stack of documents on the table. This fugitive must be found. And fast.
An elderly man sitting at the lunch counter reaches into his vest and pulls out a pack of Camels. He fumbles with his lighter, then finally gets it to light. Tweek looks up from his documents too late to shout a warning.
The whole diner is enveloped in a gigantic yellow fireball. Every window is exploded outward, the roof disintegrates and tears apart as the building is consumed by a natural gas explosion.
Everyone inside is dead. Crispy. Like bacon. Someone else will have to find that killer. It won't be THESE guys.
