I'll be posting the ones I took here. Enjoy! The journey begins soon! Our yellow chariots await! The crowd has gathered. Names are checked off the list and hoodies are distributed.
The view from my seat. I was on Matt's bus. Arriving at the cemetery in Burkittsville. Greeted by a very nice man whose name I've quite forgotten... Matt prepares to give his speech. Spooky vibes all around. The dead are listening, I think.

Matt droppin' some BW knowledge on us. I think that's the lady from Australia looking on. Didn't catch her name.
Another nice one of the cemetery...
Pretty sure that's the newscaster lady from Curse of the Blair Witch. She was there!
Pretty sure these were in the movie. Anna May on the little one?
Turns out the angel statue seen in the film is really quite small...
A recreation of the original Burkittsville sign. Signed by Heather in the bottom right corner!
See? Told ya. WINNING!!!!

Knights Inn. Site of binge drinking and drunken poetry.
This place is right next to Knights Inn. Guess this is where Heather's scotch came from?

Susie at the former Silver Rail Diner next to the stairs where her scene was shot. Ingrid couldn't make it Saturday. Outside Stups Market. Where Heather interviewed the man about the Rustin Parr story. Pizza time. LET'S EAT!!! NOM NOM NOM... Sorry Matt. I understand you didn't get any pizza. Somebody had more than one slice.

On to Fisherman's Rock. That's Ed Swanson, Dan Karcher, and Sara Monahan down there. No bullshit! TELL ME WHERE YOU ARE JOSH!!! Who should appear but Mike Williams! Spoke to us for a bit. Got to shake his hand. On to Coffin Rock. Which is on the other side of the creek from Fisherman's Rock. Where Heather reads from the old book. Looking out on Coffin Rock The view upstream from the end of Coffin Rock The view downstream from the end of Coffin Rock. After this there was a mad dash through the woods back to the bus so I wouldn't miss it. Thanks Sara for leading me back!

It's true, y'all. I BOOKED IT through those woods to get Tweek and Trey back to the yellow chariots on time. (Dan and I followed in the "chase vehicle," and it's a damn good thing too, because we would have never remembered how to get to the next location without them!)

Last stop of the day, the Stickman Forest.
Seymour Stickman returns to the woods to visit his fellow totems
Following the trail. Have the feeling we're being watched. Almost there.
Ed joined us out in the woods and made a new stickman. Just a small one this year. The remains of the giant one are to the right.
My contribution. The label reads "TWEEK.WAS.HERE.10.19.2019". Wonder how long it will last out there?
Seymour being put back up
Gathering back at the buses before the final group photo
I didn't take this one, but it fits. I'm in this one. Can you spot me? You can if you were there.

Sunday was the Rustin Parr house location. Weather was wet, windy, and cold. Perfect!
Pulling back the dead grass revealed buried treasure. Sort of. Bits of debris from the house that was once here. I brought a few small pieces home with me.
Down the hill, under this tree, is the trash pile. Where all the debris from inside the house was dumped. Not far from where Heather and Mike camped that last night. And there you have them. That's all of mine. My old phone takes pretty good pics, eh?

Amazing pics!! I SO wish I could've been there! My main reason for not going is that I just didn't have anyone to go with,so I would've been probably hanging by myself all day. Plus,I think you guys camped out, right? I don't own any camping equipment. But I hop everyone had fun!

That didn't stop me. Went by myself and had a blast. You're with the group the whole day.

That didn't stop me. Went by myself and had a blast. You're with the group the whole day. You were by yourself for like 30 seconds until we found out who you were. And then you're not by yourself anymore. That's how it works. I commented on Sunday at Griggs house that this is a really good group of people. Group of people you meet on the internet? Fans of a horror film, enough so that they'll travel long distances to see a hole in the ground where a set piece used to be? Likely to be some weirdos. Not here. Genuinely one of the nicer groups of fans I've met. Kinder and more thoughtful than some of the self-professed "Christian" fans of a band I used to work for. (That's not a knock against Christianity per se, just against these fans.)

Likely to be some weirdos. To lift one of my favorite lines from another witchy movie, "We are the weirdos, mister."

"I'm nobody, I'm just Dan's girlfriend." Thanks for memorializing that, Becca.
Y'all, you haven't lived until you've been standing three feet from Mike while he shrieks TELL ME WHERE YOU ARE JOSH! at top volume.

Cool video. Thanks for posting it, Tweek. It was fun seeing everyone (including you) again and reliving The Blair Witch Experience a week later, spotting myself here and there, even if I hate how I look on camera... Of course you're not nobody and just Dan's Girlfriend™, Sara. But we do need to teach Dan how to pronounce the word "archivist." It's "ARK-ih-vist," not "ar-KIVE-ist." Huge huge pet peeve for those of us in the information sciences field. Yes I'm nitpicky.

(PS, I've always been Team "white gloves do more damage than they're worth.") Anyway, I'm on it. You should see me trying to teach him to spell "chihuahua." Good thing Arthur was a Papillon.

I've worn my hoodie every day since I've been back home. A walking advertisement for BWE2020. Probably time to launder the thing. Hope there isn't significant shrinkage.

Oh man this looked like the trip of a lifetime. It would be a dream vacation for me. The closest I've come is hiking up a logging road to watch TBWP on a huge screen in the woods. Met some great people and when the generator tripped out and plunged us into total darkness made the night complete!

It was. Largest group so far. A trip to remember. Then Covid-19 came along and put the kibosh on everything. Hope BWE gets to resume in the future.
