The reason I went to see this movie (which I knew damn well was gonna be lacking) is because I know that Simon and Adam are big, big BWP fans. I wanted to give them a chance, labor of love and all that. Unfortunately they went in for a cheap modern horror flick. Nothing original, nothing intellectually stimulating, nothing fear inducing that haunts you in your sleep, not much to discuss after watching the movie. Yes, I do see ambition there. But the execution is poor. In my opinion. BWP was not a movie aimed at 14 year old teenage girls. Why would any BW movie be, then? It was a completely forgettable experience. It's like the billionth dumbed down meaningless and thoughtless pop music CD which sounds exactly the same as the last one. This can also happen to movies easily.
Even if I did find the movie very lacking, if not completely redundant, to go to the theater as a 23 year old and again get all giddy over the Blair Witch was an experience I did not want to miss out on. I would make the same mistake again and watch it again if it ever came to that.

The blu is ten bucks on Amazon now. No excuse not to get it.

I don't have a blu ray player or a means to watch it.
Excuse achieved.
And it's only $10, that's telling how many have actually sold.

I also do not have a blu ray or a DVD player. Besides you not knowing the prices of this movie outside of Amazon US and making generalizations, why would Anarchist buy something he clearly didn't enjoy or wants nothing to do with?

Amazon sells players too. Buy them together and you might be able to get free shipping. Think of the joy of watching a really good film... at home

Think of the joy of watching a really good film... at home Then I'd have to buy the Project and not this... Interesting interpretation of a movie. Nothing beats an original VHS copy or casette tape. Yes, they're frustrating to deal with at times, but reliving childhood memories can be sweet.

That was a modified Heather quote I did. Calling it a "really good film" is stretching things a bit I know.
Nothing beats VHS? Au contraire!

while i love the nostalgia of VHS from time to time I prefer to not have to deal with more pieces of equipment than I need to in this day and age. Plus I think Anarchist secretly liked the film and watches the new 2016 BW regularly

I've seen it twice. 1 and a half at most because I skipped some of it the second time.

I skip over the Ashley scenes when I watch. She's this movie's Stephen.

I rewatched BW16 last night. Other than the excessive jump scares it's not bad. Needed more cowbell Talia and less Ashley. I cheered when she got swatted out of the tree.
