Everyone is returning. So heartwarming, in a way! What do you mean "everyone is returning"? You mean the people on this board š or am I wrong thinking this movie was made with 100% new people?

Got a buddy there. He's gave me a few in the past. Only problem is the cinemas going digital and getting rid of posters in favor of screens. Can only hope they've had posters delivered before they stop getting them all together.

Mine still uses posters out front. But I don't have the right connections to get any of them.

If this movie rocks, and I suspect it will, I will see it more than once. We should support this thing with our dollars if it's worthy. Right?

If the core fans don't then who will?
Every member of this site has to go see this movie in the theater twice.

Saw the original in the theater three times, each with a different group of friends so I could watch them get freaked out by it in different ways. (The first time, going with my sister and her devout Southern Baptist boyfriend, was probably the funniest.) Though I just rememberedā¦ One of the things that sucked about seeing it in the theater was that because the audience was so on edge and nervous (given all the hype about how scary the movie was), everyone TALKED THE WHOLE DAMN TIME and was obnoxious as hell. So that spoiled the mood. I wonder if that will happen this time around. I haven't seen a horror movie in theaters for a long time; I wonder if this is still a thing? Or maybe it won't be as bad because all the kids will be too busy looking at their phones instead. (Git off mah lawn.)

That's the reason I've been to the theater like literally maybe 1 or 2 times in the past 4 or 5 years. Obnoxious people. Argh.

i'm excited for this regardless of Haxan's invovlement. I've talked to those guys and they are on board and that makes me excited. No i don't need Haxan to do every BW film and no I don't need anymore BW films other than the original. But if they're going to make more (which most studios will) i can either hope for the best and see it and judge it after I see it or I can knock it down because of preconceived notions of what i think the film should be.
I think we need to be excited, 17 years later and we've got a new BW film and the way they did it was brilliant, nobody saw this coming and I think that will hopefully speak to the film we get.

You needed to confer with Haxan first before you could allow yourself to get even remotely excited for this new movie?
just wonderin' ..

You needed to confer with Haxan first before you could allow yourself to get even remotely excited for this new movie? just wonderin' .. No thats not what I said. I talk to the Haxan guys almost daily and i as everyone hesitant at first but after watching the trailer and seeing the reactions from other fans I gave way from that hesitation and really got on board. I talked with Gregg Hale last week for a bit and just hearing them talk about it gives me an even greater feeling about this more. Its a very different feel than it was in 2000. I was very standoffish about this at first because if anything i'm going to critique the fuck out of this film and i want to make sure this is something I can tell people to go see since a lot of people know me as the biggest bw fan they know so they're going to come to me and ask me about it and i want to give them an honest opinion of it before and after i see it.

I rarely pay to see a movie because it's rarely worth the expense.
Well that and I don't dig crowds much either, but mostly because it's usually a rip off.

I get why some folks won't jump on the bandwagon right away. When it was "The Woods" I had no interest in it. The first trailer didn't impress me. But after the title reveal and the second trailer I was hooked. Those who have seen it are saying good things about it. So I'm willing to take a leap of faith. Could it suck? Sure it could. Could they get it wrong? You betcha. And if that's the case I'll be as critical of it as anyone. But I'm excited. And in the coming weeks I hope others are too. We might finally be getting the sequel we've always wanted. To me, BoS was just a fever dream. A case of cinematic food poisoning that has thankfully passed. I'm ready to buy my ticket, purchase my jumbo popcorn, take my seat, and soak up a generous dose of that ol' Blair Witch goodness!
