I wasn't sure where to start this thread, so forgive me if it's in the wrong place.
Anyway, I was flipping through the dossier this morning and I started to wonder about the Blair Witch Cult book. Question being, is there anything more on it's contents or the cult surrounding it? The dossier was pretty vague on the subject.

They mention it in Curse (and show a couple of pages I think). Have you seen that?

I do own a copy, yet I haven't seen in a long and I mean long time. I believe it is packed up in a closet. That and I currently don't own a VCR. I have been on a cult kick for a year or so. Learning about real cults and remembering about the Blair cult sparked an interest. It would be cool to see some more info on that.

Well, that isn't any fun. Could have at least been something a bit more exciting.

Cults and secret groups like that always linger after everyone thinks they are gone. Perhaps there are a few Elly worshippers still out there. Could explain the footsteps heard outside the tent at night. Somebody was walking around out there. Elly had been described as "an old woman whose feet never touched the ground". And Mike said it sounded like people. Maybe it was?

ahhh ... the mythology.
Someone should write down the exact words that are "read" from the cult book in the documentary.
Written in 1809 .. Before the Treacle incident, Before the Coffin incident, Before Parr ..
The cult book was written concerning Blair village, not Burkittsville founded in 1824.
Which is strange considering Blair was abandoned in 1786.. So exactly who supposedly wrote the Blair cult book? I think it was written by farmers that were in the area around where Blair used to be occupied.
Wasn't written by a cult, more like it was the diaries of farmers. Or maybe I'm incorrectly remembering that portion of mythology.

I have been meaning to ask, but keep forgetting. In the dossier where it is discussing the Blair Witch Cult book (the picture with the Tarot cards), what is the actual book in the picture?

I knew it was a prop. I was wondering if it was an actual book that the cover had been distressed, a blank book, or one that was created specifically for the pictures.
