Hi i am a big fan of the blair witch project, it is probaly the scariest movie that i ever seen, are you currently working on BWP 3?? do you know when it might be coming out?

Sorry I've been a no show for so long but here I am! So over a month later, here is the response:

No one at HAXAN is currently working on a BLAIR WITCH film. We've talked to ARTISAN a few times in the last few years about doing the PREQUEL but they just don't really seem interested.

Us Haxan boys really wanted to do it (and we still do) but ARTISAN is calling all the shots right now, and they seem to be more interested in releasing things like BOAT TRIP and VAN WILDER than another BW film.

scrape what ever equipment you can together, and make that darn prequel without Artisan! Show em that your the bee-arch. Or do they have most of the control legally?

Overall though it would be a real pity to see the films
story fade away with no use. Also, who (if not too many) does Haxan consist of? (maybe thats a stupid question)

I hear that Artisan is putting their entire company's fortunes up for their new project:
A 10-part, 30 hour film about the life of Wally Cox.

I can help you with this one.
Basically, when Haxan sold their film to Artisan Entertainment they also sold the rights to the film. This is why they were able to make Book of Shadows without Haxan's OK.
In order for a third movie to happen, Haxan Films would either have to make it directly for Artisan or somehow buy the rights back (which probably won't happen).

Haxan Films itself generally consists of five guys (also refered to as the Haxan Five): Ed Sanchez, Dan Myrick, Mike Monello, Gregg Hale and Robin Cowie. Although there have been a lot of different people (myself included) who have worked for Haxan or done work for them, these original five friends are working structure of Haxan Films.

It seems possible that they will have such an success with the movie like "The Blair Witch Project"... cause you haven't heard of that movie "BWP" before and "Bang", there was it. And remember, it was one of the most successful movies ;D

I can absolutely assure you that although the gang did at one point scout locations for a third movie, there are no current plans for a third movie.
This could all change but that depends on the Artisan/Lion's Gate situation.
Right now the gang are all focused in different directions: Dan has been trying to get into production on a foreign film remake, Gregg has been hard at work on his film, @lien (or whatever the name is now), Mike has his privvy pit documentary and Ed is busy with a Sasquatch script and an independent horror film that we will hopefully be shooting in the next 6 months.
I know there is interest in BWP 3. It just insn't being developed now.

Here is the real scoop. I recently downloaded a random story generator, and we have decided to let this complex program develop the plot for BW3. After countless attempts (I had to push the "Write Story" button FOUR times), we believe the highly evolved algorithms have delivered to us a can't miss blockbuster sequel.

Your protagonist is a good therapist named Susanna. Your antagonist is a sad dental hygienist named Raphael.

Susanna and Raphael meet in an able attentive hospital waiting room. Raphael enjoys overshadowing. Raphael is tired of being sad and light. She knows that Susanna is neither sad nor light. Hi, i'm new here but have been interested in Blair Witch for along time now..It seems to me that in Blair Witch 1, there was alot or to much yelling going on..They didn't mark their trail, they asked to many questions to the town people who might have alerted some weird group of people who is trying to keep the the story going..I also thought how strange that there were children hitting their tent..Is this suppose to be the children who was killed? I have been in the woods and one thing you don't want to do is yell or scream. You mark your trail and if you have a map be sure its a repital map and have several copies on hand with you..I see so many faults in this sequal..And i really don't believe they are dead..They was having to much fun if you ask me...Now, bw2 at the last just drops off and your left out hanging on a limb...Come on, they need to make bw2 more real and what ever happened to Peterson? and the girls and the other guy? Peterson was to Parinoid, his past keeps haunting him, He is a basket case it seems..If we continue to make bw3 i hope it not off the wall and have actual facts to the real story and what really happened to those people..How many of you really believe this actually happened..I'd like to see some real facts here....
