I'll try to join the story as soon as a I can. I can't promise I'll be an active contributer (I haven't roled played in a long time, save for Skyrim. lol), but I'll try. So please don't close the story thread just yet.
Also, I will be role-playing in first person if that is okay. For me, doing first-person POV is what separates role playing game threads from a tell-a-story thread. If you know what I mean.

Well, the thing is, apparently you have left that game and I doubt that Stephanie is going to come back. So that kind of defeats the purpose of me joining that game. However, I do have some ideas for a couple new RPGs, one I would like to start soon in the first person.
My character goes into the Black Hills Forest in search of the Book of Shadows. Based on dreams he has been having, he believes it may provide answers about the much-talked forth-coming "apocalypse."
(P.S. Are we allowed to curse on here? Without any censorship? I ask because I can imagine that the game will feature some cursing, much like in BWP.)

I'll end that one soon if the other players don't return. I don't know where they were headed with that storyline. I just played along until everyone vanished on me around the holidays. Profanity is censored on this entire site. Including the RPG section. The film was rated R and contained lots of cursing. True. But this forum is open to everyone with internet access. All ages. Write whatever you like. Just know that my staff will be watching and will edit anything inappropriate. Go ahead and start a new game if you want. I think game 15 is about done.

Okay then, it is settle. I'll start up game 16 (I'll give it a much more creative name) soon. Not only that, but due to this forum's guidelines, I'll try to keep things, at most, PG-13. Though, when you think about it, if TBWP didn't have all those f-bombs, it would actually been...PG-13 (I imagine the scary content would keep it from being simply PG).

A quick question. Do all players in game 16 need to post in the first person as well? I've never done a game that way and am unsure how to proceed.

I moved this out of the actual game thread. OOC posts should go in here.
Seems we are the only two players in this one, and I wasn't sure where you were headed with the story. I had run out of ideas for Blake. Even without a character I can still add to the story. I may even introduce a new character if I can think of something interesting. I wish someone else would join in. This game is turning out pretty good!

Yeah, that's the trouble with RPGs; you just don't know where the other person is heading with the story or when/if they are going to post the next part. With the one POSSIBLE ending that I have had planned out for a long time, I'd like to keep the game going until it reaches that point. I agree that it is turning out to be pretty good and I hope that it gets even better. I look forward to see what other contributions you'll make to the game and what new character may introduce. Though, I imagine that our heroes' may come across Blake's body at some point. But for now, I have another plot twist instore. P.S. I'll try to remember to post all OOC posts here from now on.

No rule against playing a ghost. It's not listed there but it's not prohibited either. Let's see where this goes

Maybe you can have interactions with the ghosts of the three student filmmakers (Heather, Mike, Josh) within the game. I will add the next update no later than this Wednesday; I'd do it ASAP, but I need to get a final essay done for school.

Well, I not only added the latest update, but I made it so that we are both now on the same timeline. Things were getting off for a bit; from my understanding, Blake died the night after Benson finds Parr's House. So I made it be that Benson and his companion enter the cavern the same night that Blake becomes a ghost. Hopefully, things will not get off course any further.

Since Game 16 has been so underactive, and with nonsense post made by a fellow member, I decide that I am going to try to end the game within the next 2 to 3 posts. Like I said in a previous post, I have the ending already planned out.

Since I don't know where this story is headed, there's not a lot I can add. I've run out of ideas for the Blake character. Playing a ghost isn't as interesting as I thought. My last post continues in the direction I think you are going. But I could have it wrong.

My last post continues in the direction I think you are going. But I could have it wrong. No, you are not too far off at all. I was thinking about having some dialogue between Benson and Adam before an inenchantation is made from the Book, but it looks like it will have to move on directly. I will be sure to contribute a new post this week, preferably tomorrow or Tuesday, but right now I need to do some college reading. In a past OOC post, I said I would have things finished within three more posts, but obviosuly it's going to more than I had thought. Fortunately, the current point of the story has potential to be their last night in the woods. Adam's tampering with the Book, is just the final push needed to have the guacamole to hit the fan.

Well, it's been over a month since the last post, and I am relieved to see that it has not prematurely ended. Though, it's a bummer no one else has joined the game, but then again, with the latest twist, it is pretty much too late for new players. I have been formulating the next post in my head for awhile, but I have been too busy to post. In the next couple of days, I will try to add a post that will prove to be even more pivotal than the previous one.

Game 16 has ended. I think that's the first game that actually had an end. Usually players just stop posting and they end due to inactivity. Nice. Good ending too, Jib. In your story EVERYBODY dies. And I do mean everybody. The Lovecraft reference was a nice touch.

Game 17: Ok gatorman, where's this story headed? I'm following your lead. Will there be other characters? The first post is written in the first person. Will that continue?

I'm playing, but it's like I'm blindfolded and banging into walls here. Can't see where I'm going. Makes it difficult to write a story that makes sense. I don't want to take the plot in a weird direction. I have tendency to do that when I'm making it up as I go.
