Dread is the first and strongest kind of fear. It is that tension, that waiting that comes when you know there is something to fear but you have not yet identified what it is. The fear that comes when you first realize that a window you are sure you closed is now open, the curtains billowing, and you're alone in the house...

There's something new up. See for yourselves :)

Yes, I've been sitting here waiting for it.

The Preface.

Story of the Stickman.

Narrated by some guy in a hat ;D

If one is to experience Woods Movie - The Making of The Blair Witch Project, then one has to experience the making of The Blair Witch Project.

What I mean by that somewhat redundant statement is to not assume all is pomp and glamour. It is sometimes tedious work. It is long hours, little sleep, fatigue and stress.

The Behind the Scenes series carries this all. It would be far too easy to simply include footage of Heather Josh and Mike making a movie. To not include all that it took to make this film would be an insult not only to those three, but as well, if not more-so, to the creators and crew that indeed - made this film.

From sitting down and hashing out the initial ideas, to canvassing locations, to editing a concept/treatment to auditions, you will discover that in the years it took to create this film - Heather, Mike and Josh are but a fraction of the whole.

You'll notice the first two videos are introductory to the series, one is a "preface," the other a "prelude."

All episodes are to follow in sequence to the film's making.

Notes on each episode will be posted in Union Cemetery.

With that I present to you Woods Movie - The Making of The Blair Witch Project.

Dan is such a tease, he comes to us with two great behind the scene treats and then he goes off for a while, leaving us wanting more.

COME BACK, DAN!!!11

New episode coming fellas, I allowed a few priority items to get the best of me, apologies in advance. What with the holidays upon us and the pile of work happening at Haxan (yes - including BW3, now that the cat's out of the bag*), it's more-so the calendar getting the best of me. Or worst, depending on the perspective. I'm a glass half-full sort of fella myself.

And on a personal note, Mr. Leonard and I have teamed up on a something I'm stoked about. More on this to be announced before the new year.

I'll fire up the "Episode One" next week, promise. This'll take you as far back as possible as we hang on the sofa and discuss "so... yea, whaddya think of this idea... about this witch in the woods... and these... what... 3? students who shoot a documentary as a class project..."

*BW3's cat is out of the bag, but just the pitch right now, I can't share anything more at this moment. Nothing is signed yet, so cross fingers. My gut? It'll happen.

he said there's a pitch. Pitch means nothing. Remember. Hollywood prefers to make crap rather then anything good.
