What do you think happened to them? « Thread Started on Jul 30, 2009, 11:38pm »
I have heard it speculated that they may have gone back in time to 1941 and were killed by Rustin Parr. If that was the case, surely the news reports would have mentioned three or two additional bodies, wouldn't it? Or could Parr have killed them anyways?

What I don't really get is why the authorities don't explain anything about the tapes they found. After watching it, they still think about the possibility of being a joke. (I'm talking about the Curse of the Blair Witch documentary) They don't even explain their thoughts about the mystical events that occur during those tapes.
P.S I've never seen the other specials, The Secret of Esrever, Shadow of the Blair Witch and Burkittsville 7. Does anybody know if they are in any special DVD? I just learned there's a REGION 2 special edition of Book of shadows with all these documentaries but....

Josh became possesed by the spirit of Rustin Parr. He left Mike and Heather sleeping in the tent. When they awoke and didn't find Josh, they went out at night to look for him with the camera. Josh was there all along, just yards away, silently stalking them. Heather caught a glimpse of him as he stepped back into the darkness. Possesed Josh went to his old house and called out to them to trap them. He knew they would follow the pleas in his voice and they did, "Josh, Josh, tell me where you are!" They followed him and Josh waited in the basement. Mike was the first to get to the basement. Rustin put Josh under the spell of Elly Kedward aka The Blair Witch. Mike was frozen to the corner awaiting the fate of the Buskittsville 7 children. When Heather finds Mike standing facing the basement corner, she immediately realized that she was transformed to the same time that took place when the children disappeared and they will never be found and never given.

I always held in mind that in witches folklore, the witch takes the tongue of someone in order to gain there voice.
So i always thought about Josh getting out of the tent in one way or another, leading to his capture by the witch possibly in the house (hence the shirt on the stairs), who cut/ripped/crushed out his teeth/tongue and hair, then leaving them in front of the tent.
While waiting for the next night to lure them into the house with the voice of Josh.
This is one of my theories, although this doesn't really apply to the shifting time theory.

I really like this idea... but what about the rocks with Josh's teeth?
